
Judy Buckley Gruggen began her career with Marriott International, Inc. back in 1984 in Stamford, Connecticut. She was quickly promoted from Sales Manager to Senior Sales Manager and opened new properties in Oklahoma City and Minneapolis.
In 1988 she accepted a position as Regional Manager of C.U.C International, a company specializing in direct marketing. During her tenure, she logged hundreds of thousands of miles of air travel expanding the company’s territory and increasing market penetration.
She subsequently became Director of Sales and Marketing at the Regency Athletic Club in Minneapolis, where she was directly responsible for growing the membership by 113% in her first year. She was recruited by the Greater Minneapolis Convention & Visitors Association as Director of Sales and Marketing and was able to deliver similar stellar results.
Judy co-founded Gruggen Buckley in 1993. She is responsible for the financial management of the company as well as information technology, human resources, benefits, and capital improvements.
Additionally, Judy works extensively for the benefit of public education. She is on the Facilities Planning Board for the Bloomington School District. She recently redesigned and expanded the district’s website, making it more parent-friendly. She also established a Legislative Action Committee which strives to secure legislation that is in the interest of offering students a high-quality education. |
